Senior Civics Class hold Mock Trial

The 12th Civics class held their mock trial on January 11th. Honorable Joseph Lisiecki presided.

The trial was a murder trial with a twist. There is questionable evidence that the judge ruled on in a pre-trial hearing. After evidence was provided, the jurors found the defendant guilty as charged.

Devastating Critique of Common Core in Catholic Schools

SJA does not utilize common core textbooks nor adopt common core standards in their K-12 classes. We utilize the Classical approach that respects the natural human development of the Grammar stage, Logic stage and Rhetorical stage of education and learning.
