Parent Association (SJPA)
The Saint Joseph Parent Association (SJPA), of which all Saint Joseph Academy parents are members, exists to assist SJA by coordinating volunteer activities. Among the most important of SJA’s volunteer needs, executing successful fundraisers is at the top. All parents are welcome to be an active part of the SJPA by attending its monthly meetings and volunteering. Minutes from meetings are published in the Saint Joseph Messenger.
Parent involvement is critical in order to run a successful, self-sufficient, and financially sound independent Catholic school such as Saint Joseph Academy. In fact, all families are required to volunteer 20 hours per year, and this, particularly fundraising, is a key aspect to keeping our tuition costs in check. When parents become involved in their children's education through activity in school functions it builds a positive atmosphere and confirms the fact that we are all working together for the education of the child. Parental involvement also encourages the value of "family" connectedness that is a hallmark of SJA and important in society today.
